What is the purpose of this project?

Women's empowerment is dedicated to supporting women globally as they work towards incredible opportunities and combatting stigmatized issues. Our projects last school year included assembling and distributing care packages to victims of domestic violence through the Los Angeles-based organization SAAHAS. These care packages included menstrual products, self-care items, inspirational calendars, and more. The following semester, the team shifted their focus to fundraising money that will be used to help fund a gynecological camp for women in India. This coming year, with both projects at or near completion, the women's empowerment team is in the unique and exciting position to begin a new initiative to further their goal for women's empowerment.
