What is the purpose of this project?

Water sanitation hopes to address a societal lack of water management in Kameswaram and work to increase overall access to clean drinking water for community members. Currently, we are working closely with Friends in Need (FIN), an NGO in India, to develop a solution for better access to drinking water in the village of Kameswaram. We first learned about the history behind FIN's work in Kameswaram and the problem scopes this village has specific to water. Working closely with FIN, the water sanitation team developed and put out a survey for village residents to determine their water sanitation needs. After compiling data, the team began working on developing and implementing their solution that specifically targeted the needs of Kameswaram's water sanitation. Currently, the team is nearing the end stages of their project, which includes purchasing and distributing water testing kits for each household in Kameswaram. as well as ensuring the project is sustainable for the future. In addition to the water testing kits, the team is also working with FIN to create a comprehensive report of all the data collected and details about the solution. Additionally, the team is also brainstorming new ideas for future projects, as this one is coming to an end.
