What is the purpose of this project?

At IPV, we are producing a short film that will amplify the voices of domestic violence survivors and dismantle the stigma surrounding their stories. This documentary will explore the personal narratives of IPV victims, highlighting how generations of patriarchy and silence have shaped our understanding and response to this subject. Our film will focus on the South Asian community, where domestic violence is prevalent, and examine the impacts that IPV has on victims, their families, and the values that define our community. As our film production wraps up, we're shifting our focus to creating infrastructure that supports victims in reintegrating into society and reshaping the narrative around domestic violence.
