External Dev (2)

What is the purpose of this branch?

At External Development, we are dedicated to fostering a community for South Asian students at USC. We organize networking events and cultural celebrations that not only enhance the personal and professional skills of our members but also celebrate our South Asian heritage. Additionally, we actively collaborate with the Internal Development branch to develop innovative funding strategies that support member-specific workshops and activities throughout the academic year. Through our efforts, we aim to build a strong network of support that encourages collaboration, inclusivity, and success among South Asian students at USC.

We consist of three subsections:

  • Cultural Events: This branch is dedicated to celebrating and promoting our vibrant South Asian heritage through cultural events — including Holi, Diwali Culture Night, and Garba. By fostering community engagement, this branch enhances cultural awareness within the RISHI family and with the broader South Asian community at USC.

  • Professional Events: This branch emphasizes skill-building and career readiness by organizing panels and networking events that provide members with the tools and resources needed to succeed in their professional endeavors.

  • Alumni Relations: This branch focuses on building strong connections with USC Project RISHI alumni through creating networking opportunities, specifically RISHI Homecoming, and writing monthly newsletters.
