What is the purpose of this branch?

DEI works to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion policies in SC Project RISHI. We will host development workshops and social events to help members build a cross-cultural understanding and foster a greater South Asian community within our organization and beyond. By hosting weekly hours to discuss the characteristics of what it means to be “brown”, we can learn to understand our individualities as well as our South Asian identity. We will also ensure that our work in RISHI Projects matches the needs of individuals in our target communities. Collaborating across different projects to create the Project Consolidation Committee, we will seek to diversify the work of the DEI branch and increase our project turnover throughout the academic year.
