Advice to Prospective Members: The more you give to RISHI, the more you will get out of it. I have been so blessed to meet so many incredible people through Project RISHI, in part because I took advantage of whatever opportunities I was able to get my hands on.

Why I joined RISHI

I joined RISHI, because I was looking for a strong close-knit Desi community at USC with like-minded individuals that I could call my home. When I found out about RISHI and learned that it is both an organization dedicated to serving India and implementing sustainable social initiatives there, while also being a place I could be surrounded with individuals from my culture, I knew I had to join. I immediately felt at home in RISHI, and I have met my closest friends (and my current roommates) through this org. It is an honor to be able to work on projects I’m passionate about with my friends and give back to my motherland - India.
