Childhood Education | Project RISHI

What is the purpose of this project?

In the childhood education initiative, we hope to address the education barrier among impoverished youth in Rajasthan, India, through weekly virtual classes in English, Science, and Math.

What are our top three goals for this spring semester?

1. We hope to educate more students through fun and engaging experiments and activities.

2. We want to become mentors for the students that we work with by providing them with advice and assistance on school-related matters.

3. We hope to create a curriculum that is diverse and inclusive in as many ways as possible!

What is your primary goal in RISHI this year?

My primary goal in RISHI this year is to bridge new connections with primary education facilities in India, create a larger online education platform through filming, and allow for the students to develop and share their knowledge!

What is your primary goal in RISHI this year?
Through the childhood education team, I hope I can mitigate education inequities that have grown rampant in India by working with more schools to supplement their education with our supplemental tutoring.

What is your primary goal in RISHI this year?
Currently, the educators that we’re in contact with are concentrated in Hindi speaking areas. This semester, I hope to reach children across India, who speak a variety of languages including Gujarati and Telugu. As a result, we can increase the direct communication between students in India and RISHI members who aren’t fluent in Hindi.

What is your primary goal in RISHI this year?
My primary goal in joining the team was to create strong bonds with the different students that we engage with, and to develop meaningful lessons/ pass along important advice to the students. It is also a goal to potentially work with schools in different areas in the future to broaden our influence.
